Phased Reopening 27th July 2020

We are pleased to announce that we will be resuming face to face appointments from the 27th July 2020 but with a number of restrictions.

Public Health England restrictions still apply, and we will only be able to open for pre-booked dental appointments such as dental emergencies and problems and to complete outstanding treatment.

NHS England suspended the provision of routine dental treatment on the NHS and whilst at a Level 3 COVID-19 status we are currently only able to provide dental care for emergencies and problems on the NHS.

Our Private and Denplan member patients will be able to access routine dental care - but we will need to limit the range of treatments we can provide. When you attend for your dental appointment your dentist will discuss the treatment options available to you as well as the costs.

Patients in the midst of treatment prior to lockdown will be contacted in due course. We are currently operating on restricted hours between 9am - 5pm with a reduced workforce so we appreciate your consideration when booking appointments.

We have introduced a number of measures that may make your next dental appointment a little different. We are currently asking patients to wait outside prior to their appointment, and to use our new patient portal system to check in for their appointment. You can now check in contact free using your own smartphone device. Please only check in for your appointment when you are outside the practice.

You will be directed towards your surgery room after a series of checks and we ask that you wear a face mask during your time outside of the clinical rooms. Your clinical team will be wearing enhanced PPE equipment for your safety and theirs. After the provision of your treatment we will direct you towards the exit - which may be different to your initial entry point.

If you require any further appointments we will arrange these remotely as there will be no face to face arrangements with our reception team at this stage.

If you require URGENT dental care at this time we ask you to contact us via telephone / email or Whatsapp (details available on our mobile website) and we will arrange for a remote consultation with a dentist. Following the remote consultation we will aim to determine the correct nature of the appointment required and book you in to the appropriate clinic.

We are expecting a very high call volume so ask patients to be mindful when they call due to the long waiting times.

We are also able to offer a limited number of appointments for Private dental examinations, hygiene appointments, Denplan assessments, consultations for cosmetic and orthodontic dental services. Our online booking service will soon allow you to book these appointments online, and our reception team will subsequently be in contact to discuss the pre-appointment checks.

We look forward to seeing you and thank you for your consideration of the new rules.
